MANILA, Philippines – Comedian Rufa Mae Quinto will voluntarily surrender herself to authorities. Her camp has also confirmed that the actress had indeed been served a warrant of arrest over violations of securities regulation code according to her lawyer.
In a report by “24 Oras,” lawyer Mary Louise Reyes said the actress is charged with 14 counts of violations of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code in relation to the issue of Dermacare- the same company that embroiled actress-entrepreneur Neri Naig Miranda in a legal mess.
“May standing warrant of arrest sa client ko po and yes she will face those charges and mag-po-post po kami ng bail for that,” said Reyes.
Furthermore, Reyes said her client is in fact a victim.
Naig, a known business woman and influencer, was arrested in a mall in Pasay City last November 23.
A syndicated estafa case was filed against the former actress.
