Screen grab from viral video: Sunshine Cruz and Atong Ang 

MANILA, Philippines – After much online buzz, gambling tycoon Atong Ang has officially confirmed that indeed, he and actress Sunshine Cruz are in a relationship. 

On Bilyonaro News Channel’s “Agenda” aired last December 17, show host Pinky Webb was quoted to have said ““At dito niyo lang po unang maririnig, kinumpirma mismo ni Atong Ang sa Bilyonaryo News Channel na may relasyon nga sila ni Sunshine Cruz.”

Co-host Korina Sanchez answered back with a teasing comment, “Dapat tawagan natin si Atong at si Sunshine na manlibre naman ngayong Pasko dahil masaya sila.”

Rumors about Ang and Cruz started making rounds online last week when a video of them locking lips at a cockpit arena. Cruz went up to Ang to give him a kiss. 

A second video which appeared to be taken on a different day but in the same area showed Ang this time, walking up to Cruz to give her a kiss. 

Cruz was previously in a long-term relationship with politician Macky Mathay. They separated in 2022. 

Before Mathay, she was once married to actor Cesar Montano with whom she shares three daughters. 

Ang meanwhile was linked to actress Gretchen Barretto, the partner of business tycoon Tony Boy Cojuanco. The actress’ estranged sister Marjorie was the one who exposed their relationship in a tell-all interview with broadcast journalist Karen Davila. 

Marjorie also revealed that Gretchen stole Ang from their niece Nicole. 

Back in 2019, Ang said he is happy with his wife Iris amid rumors of an affair with Gretchen, even with her sister Claudine. 

There has not been any confirmation yet if Ang is now separated from his wife.
