MANILA, Philippines – If the senatorial elections were to be held today, the top winners would be ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo and former Senate president Vicente ”Tito” Sotto, according to the results of the latest Pulse Asia Survey released over the weekend.

Based on the survey conducted from November 26 – December 3, 2024, 14 candidates have a statistical chance of snagging the 12 senatorial slots. Their faring in the survey shows they are the candidates gunning for senate seats that most Filipinos are aware of.

Tulfo and Sotto enjoy a 62.2% and 59.2% rating followed by Sen. Bong Go with 54.7%, radio and tv personality Ben Tulfo with 52.7%, Sen. Pia Cayetano with 46.5% and Sen. Manny Pacquiao with 45.5%.

Making the latter six are former Sen. Ping Lacson with 44.1%, actor Willie Revillame with 43.6%, Sen. Bong Revilla with 43.5%, Makati Mayor Abby Binay with 40.1%, Sen. Lito Lapid with 39.2% and Sen. Imee Marcos 37.5%.

Holding a good fighting chance at making it to the magic 12 are Sen. Bato Dela Rosa with 36.9% and Las Pinas Rep. Camille Villar with 36.5%.

The Commission on Elections has trimmed down the number of senatorial hopefuls for next year’s polls to 66 after considering 117 others as nuisance candidates.

The nationwide survey was based on a sample of 2400 representative adults 18 years old and above.
