MANILA, Philippines – Heads up motorists! 

Good news for those who plan to go for some road tripping in and out of the Metropolis – toll paymentsare waived for specific hours during Christmas and New Year. 

San Miguel Corporation (SMC) on Friday announced that toll payments are waived covering December 24 to 25, 2024 and December 31, 2024 to January 1,  2025.

  • 10:00 p.m. on December 24 to 6:00 a.m. on December 25
  • 10:00 p.m. on December 31 to 6:00 a.m. on January 1

Covered SMC-operated expressways are the following. 

  • Skyway System
  • NAIA Expressway (NAIAX)
  • South Luzon Expressway (SLEX)
  • STAR Tollway
  • Tarlac-Pangasina-La Union Expressway (TPLEX)

Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) on Monday also announced that toll will also be free on the evening of December 24 (Christmas Eve) until 6 a.m. on Christmas Day.

The same drill will take place from 10 p.m. on December 31 (New Year’s Eve) until the next day (New Year’s Day) at 6 a.m.

Class 1, 2 and 3 vehicles heading North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Calax), and Cavite Expressway (Cavitex) will enjoy free toll on: 

  • December 24 at 10 p.m. to December 25 at 6 a.m 
  • December 31 at 10 p.m. to January 1 at 6 a.m.
