MANILA, Philippines – Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo is the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal’s Best Actor for his performance in the movie “Green Bones.”
The actor expressed his gratitude to his family, the MMFF, the movie’s production and everyone who supported him.
“Maraming salamat sa MMFF, sa MMDA, sa lahat ng mga nagdesisyon para mabigay ang mga parangal na ito ngayong gabi. Maraming salamat po sa mga taong naniniwala sa akin. Sa GMA Films, Ms. Annette Gozon, Ms. Nessa, Sir Ricky Lee, JC Rubio, Anj Atienza, na nanalong Best Screenplay. Sa aming direktor, Direk Zig Dulay, maraming salamat sa tiwalang binigay niyo sa akin. Sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa ‘kin,” said Dennis.
“Sa aking number one supporter, nandun po ang aking asawa, si Ms. Jennylyn Mercado. Maraming salamat! Inaalay ko ‘to, ang award na ‘to, sa aking pamilya. Sila po talaga ang nagi-inspire sa ‘kin para pagbutihin ‘tong ginagawa ko na ‘to na i-maximize lahat ng opportunity na binibigay sa ‘kin. Maraming salamat po. Hinding-hindi ko makakalimutan ‘to. Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. Thank you. Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino,” he said.
Other nominees who vied for the Best Actor category included Vice Ganda, Seth Fedelin, Vic Sotto, Piolo Pascual, and Arjo Atayde.
His co-star Ruru Madrid also triumphed as the Best Supporting Actor this year.
