MANILA, Philippines — Filipino food content creator Abi Marquez has confirmed her collaboration with British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay after the latter’s comment went rounds online. 

In a Facebook post, Marquez announced the collaboration with a quirky photo with Ramsay with a caption “Challenge accepted.” 

Filipino social media users hinted at a possible collaboration between the two after Ramsay commented on Marquez’s video making lumpia out of crab meat and dared “But can you do it with a Beef Wellington?”

Marquez is known online for her creative dishes made of lumpia wrapper. 

Her viral dishes include peach mango pie, pizza, and tikoy, all wrapped in lumpia wrappers.

Prior to the confirmation, Ramsay likewise announced that he is heading to the Philippines this week. 

“Can’t wait to serve this to everyone when I’m in the Philippines next week!” Gordon captioned the post.

The world-renowned chef’s comment took Filipino fans by surprise following the confirmation of the collaboration. 

Beef Wellington is one of the classic recipes popularized by Gordon Ramsay through his unique approach to cooking.  

The dish is offered at his restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill, which opened a branch in the country last year.
