MANILA, Philippines – Over 30,800 pieces of fully grown Marijuana plants worth P6,160,000 were raided and destroyed by anti-narcotics operatives in Benguet province last January 27-28.
According to the report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Cordillera Administrative Region discovered the plantation being grown on several lands in the province in a total estimated area spanning 3,380 square meters in Tacadang, Kibungan, Benguet.

PDEA said the operation took place in two lots. In the first site, approximately 6,800 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants valued at P1,360,000.00 were uprooted, followed by another plantation site intercepted with 24,000 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants amounting to Php4,800,000.
All the marijuana plants were torched on-site, however, no cultivator was found during the operation.
