Dao Ming Si bids farewell to Shancai.
MANILA, Philippines – Taiwanese actor Dao Ming Si is one with the world in condoling the sudden death of his love team partner, actress Barbie Hsu who died at only 48 due to pneumonia.
Shortly after the news of Hsu’s death came out, Yan took to social media to express his grief.
In one post, Yan said, “Heaven gained an angel.”
“Rest In peace Barbie Hsu aka “SHAN CAI” in her legendary role in the Taiwanese drama, Meteor Garden,” he said.
The last line of his post was a heartfelt lookback at the wonderful memories they shared during their younger years.
“Thank you for the happy memories that you brought us during our youth, You will never be forgotten,” he said.
In another post, Yan dug up some throwback photos from their iconic drama series “Meteor Garden” showcasing the unforgettable love story of Dao Ming Si and Shancai, their roles in the series, and the remarkable friendship of reel and real-life group F4 with their leading lady.
His post triggered nostalgia to their fans who love them until today.
He said, “METEOR GARDEN will never be the same again without you @hsushiyuan.”
“Meteor Garden” debuted in Taiwan in 2001 and aired in the Philippines in 2003. Its skyrocketing ratings had television networks do reruns of the show for years.
