MANILA, Philippines — Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet is set to arrive in the Philippines today for a two-day official visit, the Palace said.
“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. will welcome H.E. Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, on his first Official Visit to the Philippines on 10-11 February 2025,” Malacañang said in a statement.
During his visit, Hun Manet is scheduled to meet with Marcos to discuss various areas of cooperation.
“The President will have a bilateral meeting with the Cambodian Prime Minister on February 11 to discuss advancing cooperation in combatting transnational crimes, defense, trade, tourism, regional and multilateral cooperation,” the Palace said.
Marcos previously visited Cambodia in 2022 for the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits in Phnom Penh.
Hun Manet has served as Cambodia’s prime minister since 2023, succeeding his father, Hun Sen. This marks his first official visit to the Philippines.
Currently, more than 7,000 Filipinos live and work in Cambodia.
