Pernilla Sjoo, Andi Eigenmann, Philmar Alipayo
MANILA, Philippines – Swedish national Pernilla Sjoo, the girl romantically rumored to surfer Philmar Alipayo, finally spoke about feeling awestruck at people harboring so much hate and still finding peace about it.
Without dropping names, many assumed that the series of social media posts of Sjoo were her response to the viral barb trade of Alipayo and partner, actress Andi Eigenmann about his supposed infidelity. Sjoo and Alipayo recently went viral after photos of them wearing matching tattoos earned the ire of netizens who felt for Eigenmann.
“I don’t understand why some people have so much hate in their minds and bodies. I hope that if you ever make a hurtful comment, you can still sleep peacefully at night and smile knowing you’ve caused someone pain,” she said.
“I still feel hurt and when it’s too much, it cuts deep,” she said.
Sjoo’s posts were noticeably vague but her words seemed to be giving the impression that she is the one being victimized in the situation.
“I hope you never become the reason someone cries themselves to sleep or questions their worth – asking why they weren’t good enough,” she said.
Her posts ask for kindness and understanding. She also pleads not to be judged.
“We are all going through something. Can we at least be kinder to one another? Naman. I mean no harm to others. If you will be kind to me, I’ll assure you that I’ll be kinder to you,” she said.
“Never judge someone without knowing the whole story. You may think you understand, she said.
Over the weekend, internet was ablaze with the word war of Eigenmann and Alipayo who also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The Siargao-based actress spilled her side through a series of Instagram stories where she said her husband “never cheated” on her but was hurt when he did not consider her feelings when he agreed to get a love couple tattoo with Sjoo, a very close friend Eigenmann said was already around even before she came into the scene.
The mom of three said she sought for the side of the girl, referring to Sjoo but got no response.
Eigenmann even said she should have listened to friends who told their partners to stay away from the “girl,” a decision she said she deeply regretted later.
Alipayo meanwhile also aired his side through a series of Instagram posts in his native language apparently acknowledging all that’s been said about him.
“Whatever you read is true. No more hiding (lies) because it only makes things harder,” he wrote.
“You already know who I am, so maybe you already know who she is. No need to elaborate further.”
“You all can call me a cheater and ugly now. But thank you to the people who truly know me,” he wrote.
