MANILA, Philippines – DJ vlogger Jellie Aw has formally filed a complaint against fiance Jam Ignacio for allegedly mauling her. 

National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago confirmed that indeed Aw has made her statement and authorities are now on the hunt for Ignacio. 

“She has already filed a complaint and a statement was already taken by my San Fernando field office. Hinahabol natin ‘yung kanyang boyfriend,” Santiago said. 

On Wednesday, photos of Aw’s bruised face went viral on social media after Ignacio allegedly attacked her while inside the car. According to Aw, she was only able to leave the car and seek help when the car’s RFID sticker failed to register at a toll gate going north. 

Ignacio however managed to escape. 

Before referring Aw’s case to the proper division, Santiago first cleared with the DJ if she is bent on pursuing the case even if Ignacio asks for her forgiveness. 

“So I asked her, baka naman ‘pag lumuhod sa’yo ito patawarin mo sabi niya hindi, tuturuan daw niya ng leksyon. She wants the boyfriend to go to jail so I referred the matter to our VAWCD Chief,” Santiago said. 

 Santiago said Ignacio’s arrest could happen anytime today, February 14. 

“Kung seswertehin tayo, within the day makukuha natin ‘yung boyfriend niya para mapanagot sa kasalanan na ginawa niya,” Santiago said. 

In time for Valentines’ the NBI chief left a message to all men. 

“Ang babae ay hindi sinasaktan, ito ay idinuduyan sa bisig ng pagmamahal,” Santiago said.
