MANILA, Philippines – Hundreds of counterfeit luxury bags amounting to Php121,622,838.00 were intercepted by operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in an operation last February 20 in General Trias and Imus Cavite. 

According to the NBI, a representative from global luxury brand Louis Vuitton filed a report against individuals and entities engaged in the unauthorized sale and distribution of counterfeit products bearing the famous French fashion house’s name. 

Warrants were served against the intercepted individuals who are set to face charges for violation of Republic Act No. 8293 “Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines” (Infringement of Trademark).
