MANILA, Philippines – Seasoned broadcast journalist Ces Oreña Drilon has officially moved to One News and will be taking the helm of “The Big Story” beginning March 3.

On Wednesday afternoon, Drilon inked a contract with News5, Cignal TV and MediaQuest executives in Mandaluyong City.

In her interview, Drilon said she is looking forward to sharing her “experience” and “institutional knowledge” to her audience.

With a career spanning decades, Drilon has established herself as one of the most respectable news personalities in the country.

“Kasi nagsimula ako hindi pa nagpi-People Power Revolution, so imagine yung mga napagdaanan, na-cover-an, nagawan ng istorya,” she said.

“Importante (‘yung) context. Ngayon parang kulang na ‘yan sa pagbabalita ‘e, ‘yung konstekto ng mga pangyayari,” she said.

Drilon will be sharing the program with Shawn Yao, Regina Lay and Pauline Versoza replacing Gretchen Ho.

Drilon is currently seen on the magazine program “Usapang Bilyonaryo” on Bilyonaryo News Channel. She was among the employees laid off when media giant ABS-CBN lost its franchise in 2020.
