MANILA, Philippines – A Pasay City Court has dismissed the Syndicated Estafa filed against former actress and now business woman Neri Naig-Miranda.
“We thank the courts for clearing the name of Neri Miranda, who has unmistakably been falsely accused of wrongdoing in the Dermacare case,” her lawyer Aureli Sinsuat said.
“We thank the courts for clearing the name of Neri Miranda, who has unmistakably been falsely accused of wrongdoing in the Dermacare case,” said Sinsuat.
Pasay City RTC Branch 112 ruled that there is no probable cause to proceed with the case against the wife of Parokya ni Edgar frontman, Chito Miranda.
Miranda faced complaints in 2024 over allegations of an investment scheme for the skincare clinic Dermacare. She was accused of committing alleged violation of the Securities Regulation Code by supposedly enticing the people to invest in the clinic not authorized to solicit investments.
She was arrested in November and was released a week later after posting P126,000 for each of the 14 counts of syndicated estafa complaints amounting to a total of P1,764,000.
