MANILA, Philippines – As summer season starts, the Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced that it will be increasing flights from Clark International Airport to travel destinations Siargao and Batanes starting May 1.
“Looking forward to the peak summer season, we are eager to invite more travelers to embark on unforgettable leisure and cultural adventures in Basco and Siargao by flying any day of the week on our direct flights from Clark International Airport,” PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang said.
From the current thrice-weekly flights for Clark-Siargao route and four times a week for Clark-Basco route, PAL flights to these destinations are set to be daily come May.
This March, PAL has already started flying passengers between Clark and Busuanga.
Earlier this year, turboprop flights were moved to Clark to decongest the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.
A turboprop airplane is a smaller vessel which can carry about 60 passengers going to regional destinations in the Philippines like Camiguin, Calbayog, Siargao, Masbate, Surigao, Busuanga and Naga which can only accommodate smaller aircrafts.
