Archie Alemania
MANILA, Philippines – The Bacoor Regional Trial Court has ordered for the arrest of actor Archie Alemania who was sued by singer-actress Rita Daniela for Acts of Lasciviousness.
According to the March 18 resolution, the prosecutor found reasonable ground to elevate the case to trial.
The court recommended a bail of P36,000 for the actor’s provisional liberty.
“After a careful evaluation of the information, the resolution, investigation data form, the complaint affidavit of the complaining witness, and other pertinent documents, the court finds probable cause to hold the accused for trial,” the court’s order stated. “Considering that the accused is at large, let a warrant of arrest be issued against him,” the resolution read.
In a statement, Daniela’s legal counsel Magie Abraham-Garduque said their camp welcomed the release of the warrant and looks forward to the immediate arrest of the actor.
Last March, the prosecutors determined that there was a “prima facie case with reasonable certainty of conviction.”
The singer complained that the actor made advances to her without her consent and made inappropriate remarks to her during a Thanksgiving party of their Kapuso program “Widow’s War.”
Alemania filed a counter affidavit in December denying Daniela’s accusations.
