






Organized labor groups have united and embraced the “Labor Vote” campaign, which promotes a nine-point pro-worker agenda for the upcoming Senate elections.
The campaign advocates for national legislative wage increase, quality public services, union rights, regular and decent employment.
They also demand for higher taxes for billionaires, climate justice and climate action, industrial and agricultural growth, end to discrimination and abuse,and the abolition of political dynasties and corruption
Labor vote is composed of Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU), Bukluran ng mga Manggagawang Pilipino (BMP), Federation of Free Workers (FFW), National Confederation of Labor (NCL).
Public Services Labor Independent Confederation (PSLINK), COURAGE, Alliance of Concerned Teachers, UFSW, PISTON, Alliance of Health Workers, Workers Federation and UMA.
Labor Vote endorsed the Labor Agenda and pro-labor senatorial candidates such as Jerome Adonis, Atty. Luke Espiritu, Leody de Guzman, Atty. Ernesto Arellano, Mimi Domingo, Atty. Sonny Matula, Mody Floranda, Cong. France Castro, Cong. Arlene Brosas, Alyn Andamo and Danilo Ramos.
Atty. Arellano said, “we have now created and unite the largest sector of society- the Labor. The labor force, which comprises a large portion of the population, reaches up to 47 million.”
“Let us strengthen our unity and strive to empower the labor vote so we can build a society that truly serves the people. It’s time to put an end to political dynasties in government.”
The assembly agreed to gather together and commemorate Labor Day on May 1st at Plaza Miranda in Quiapo, Manila.
