Vice President Duterte and Claudine Barretto
MANILA, Philippines – Actress Claudine Barretto is poised to play Vice President Sara Duterte in a biopic according to controversial filmmaker Darryl Yap.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 29), Yap uploaded a screenshot of a conversation with the optimum star where he asked her if she’s willing to play the life of the tough-talking vice president which the actress answered in the affirmative.
“Clau ready kanaba maging si Inday Sara?” Yap asked to which Barretto answered “Omg!!! I’m crying than you direk!”
They then exchanged pleasantries. The actress even added that she’s willing to cut her hair to fit the vice president’s signature bob.
“Magpapagupit talaga ako,” Barretto said which Yap answered with “kalma!”

Fans seemed to like the idea and congratulated the actress for the role.

Others however observed that Barretto and the vice president have significant differences in terms of features.

Some others meanwhile suggested other actresses such as Judy Ann Santos and Aiko Melendez.

No further detail was mentioned by Yap supporters of the Duterte family have already expressed excitement over the movie.
