MANILA, Philippines – In a shocking turn of events, yet another veteran actor dies barely half into this year. This time, it was Ricky Davao who passed away on Friday, May 2.  

The news was confirmed by Viva Entertainment in a Facebook post. 

“Pahinga ka na Sir Ricky,” Viva wrote. 

“Ang aktor ay namayapa sa edad na 63,” it added.

According to reports, Ricky had been battling a terminal illness last year. 

Ricky was previously married to actress Jackie Lou Blanco with whom he had three kids: Arabella, Rikki Mae, and Kenneth.

His new partner Malca was introduced by the actor on his social media in 2023. 

Son of veteran actor Charlie Davao, Ricky had an extensive body of work both in acting and directorial jobs. 

Some of his films include Huwag Mong Buhayin ang Bangkay, Ipaglaban Mo The Movie, Abot Hanggang Sukdulan, and Misis Mo, Misis Ko and Clarita among many others.
