Actress Jackie Lou Blanco hugging late ex-husband Ricky Davao’s girlfriend Mayeth Malca 

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Jackie Lou Blanco brought visitors to tears when she delivered her emotional eulogy for ex-husband Ricky Davao. Among the most moving parts is her thanking the last woman he loved. 

“I want to thank you, Malca, Ricky’s girlfriend, for taking such good care of Ricky,” Jackie Lou said in tears. 

Jackie Lou expressed her gratitude to Ricky’’s girlfriend Mayeth Malca for the love that she gave her ex-husband. 

As the actress acknowledged her, Malca walked up to Jackie and hugged her. 

“I want to thank you so much. Thank you from my family to yours. Thank you so much for loving Ricky as you did. Thank you,” Jackie said. 

Three women in Ricky’s life 

Just like with their separation, Jackie Lou and Ricky had always been quiet about their romantic affairs after their marriage. 

Apart from Kenneth, Rikki Mae and Ara, her children with Jackie Lou, Ricky also had another child from a past affair.

At some points in her very emotional eulogy, Jackie Lou had some light moments too. Among them was when she introduced the three women in Ricky’s life. 

“Alam niyo, nung nasa hospital si Ricky, tatlo po kaming babae na nandoon,” the actress said that made the audience laugh. 

She then called on Malca and Cheryl, the mother of Ricky’s youngest child. 

“Stand up so that you can see the three beautiful women in Ricky’s life. Si Malca at si Cheryl,” Jackie Lou said. 

Both Cheryl and Malca stood up and waved at the people.

Scene at the hospital 

Jackie Lou also recalled a funny scene at the hospital when Ricky was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit due to his cancer. 

“Siyempre nandoon po kami lahat dahil nasa hospital si Ricky,” she said. 

“Sabi po nung doktor ni Ricky sa akin, ‘Ma’am, puwede po ba kayong makausap?’ ‘Ano pong problema, Doc?’” Jackie said, quoting the doctor. 

“Kasi sabi ko, nasa ICU na si Ricky. May problema pa ba? Madadagdagan pa? Sabi niya, ‘I want to know kasi how I will address you.’ At saka he has this puzzled look on his face, as in talagang parang ano ba ang gagawin,” Jackie Lou said. 

When the doctor asked, Jackie gave each of them their fitting introduction. 

“‘E, ikaw ka ba?’ Sabi ko, ‘Well, I’m the wife…’ ‘Sino po yung naka-red?’ I think it was Malca. ‘Ah, yun po yung partner ni Ricky.’ ‘E, yung isa po?’” Jackie Lou said that made the audience laugh. 

“Yun po yung nanay ng youngest [child] ni Ricky,” tukoy naman daw ni Jackie Lou kay Cheryl,” she added. 

Curious, Jackie Lou said the doctor then asked, “Okay po kayong tatlo?” 

Jackie Lou laughingly answered, “Obviously, okay kami, di ba?”

Ricky died on Friday (May 2) because of cancer.
