Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto 

MANILA, Philippines – There wouldn’t be any rest for incumbent Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto as his job continues after a landslide win in the 2025 midterm elections. A day after the polls, he was officially proclaimed mayor for a third and final term. 

At about 6 am on Tuesday, Sotto was proclaimed winner by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) City Board of Canvassers after receiving 100 percent of its election returns. 

As of 7:46 am, 81% of votes have already been transmitted showing Sotto’s convincing lead of 

286,897 against rival Sara Discaya’s 24,163.

“We’re very thankful, nagpapasalamat po ako sa lahat ng Pasigueno sa kanilang tiwala sa kanilang suporta, at sa bagong mandato, sa fresh mandate na ito,” Sotto said. 

As for what’s next for Sotto, he said he will seek to institutionalize reforms to maintain good governance in the city. 

“The next three years, pagtitibayin natin yung mga nasimulan na pagbabago, reporma, kailangan siguraduhin natin na ma-institutionalize. Ibig sabihin dapat kung sino yung mga susunod na leader sa Pasig eh sisiguraduhin natin na mas mahirap nang gumawa nang masama. Mas mahirap na maging korap, mas madali nang maging mabuti at mas madali na maging tapat sa LGU (local government unit) ng Pasig,” he said. 

Giting ng Pasig 15-0 sweep

Sotto’s party, Giting ng Pasig also got a 15-0 sweep in the local elections as its vice mayor, congressman ang 12 city councilors all won with a commanding lead against Discaya’s slate based on transmitted votes as of 7:46 am, Tuesday. 

They were all proclaimed alongside Sotto.

Dodot Jaworski was proclaimed as the city’s vice mayor with 237,117 votes, a lead miles behind Iyo-Caruncho Bernardo who got 58,841 votes. 

Additionally, Roman Romulo got 284,871 votes leaving behind Ian Sia who got 13,807 votes.
