BULACAN, Philippines —  Two individuals were arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) Special Operations Unit 3 resulting in the seizure of suspected shabu worth P340,000.

The suspects were identified as Enrique Ramos, 45, a barber from Brgy. Malimpampang, San Ildefonso, Bulacan and Joan Valderama y Francisco, 22, a resident of the same barangay.

The operation was launched at around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, at a motel in San Miguel, Bulacan. 

It was carried out by elements of SOU 3 PNP-DEG under the lead of PCPT Homerp P Guiamalon, in coordination with the San Miguel Municipal Police Station, PDEA Bulacan, and other local units.

Authorities confiscated one knot-tied transparent plastic sachet containing approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu, a marked P1,000 bill with ultraviolet powder, and boodle money amounting to P200,000. 

A mobile phone was also recovered from the suspects during the operation.

The seized drugs will be turned over to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for proper examination, while the suspects will undergo booking procedures at the San Miguel Municipal Police Station.
