MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) has started paying deposit insurance to eligible depositors of the closed Oriental Tamaraw Rural Bank of Naujan (Oriental Mindoro), Inc.

Payments are being made through Postal Money Orders (PMOs) and Land Bank Visa Debit Cards (LVDCS) to depositors eligible for outright claims with valid account balances of P500,000 or less. PMOs are being sent to registered or updated mailing addresses, while LVDCS are being issued for accounts above P5,000.

To qualify for the outright payment, depositors or registered entities must not have outstanding loans with the closed bank and must have updated their mailing address with PDIC through its Mailing Address Update Form (MAUF). Filing of deposit insurance claims is not required under this streamlined process.

Depositors with balances exceeding P500,000 will receive LVDCS and separate Payment Notices (PNs) by mail. PMOs may be encashed at local post offices or Land Bank branches, while registered entities must deposit them to their respective bank accounts.

The PDIC advised depositors who have not received their payments by August 4, 2025, to contact its Public Assistance Department at (02) 8841-4141, email naujan-pad@pdic.gov.ph, or visit www.facebook.com/OfficialPDIC.
