MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa on Wednesday confirmed that the draft resolution seeking the “de facto dismissal” of the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte originated from his office.

“Galing ‘yun sa office ko,” Dela Rosa told reporters when asked about the circulating resolution, which aims to stop the impeachment trial against Duterte.

The senator, a known ally of Duterte, also said he was the one who initiated the measure.

Earlier in the day, several senators denied receiving a copy of the resolution, despite reports that it had already been making rounds in the chamber.
