MANILA, Philippines — Celebrity inspirational speaker Michael Angelo Lobrin was arrested allegedly over charges of violating Batas Pambansa Blg. 22, or the Anti-Bouncing Check Law, based on a warrant of arrest issued by a Quezon City court.

The warrant, dated May 7, 2025, was issued by Judge John Boom S. Sy Rodolfo of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 38.

The document was forwarded by lawyer Rey Nathaniel Ifurung, counsel for the complainants.

Republika News obtained a copy of the arrest warrant a day after the arrest transpired.

Lobrin was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit on Sunday—right in the middle of his birthday celebration at a restaurant.
