MANILA, Philippines— The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) lauded the passage of the Right of Way Bill, calling it a key reform that will fast-track infrastructure development in the country.
FFCCCII President Victor Lim said the new law addresses long-standing bottlenecks in land acquisition and legal procedures that have delayed major public and private infrastructure projects.
“This reform is a triumph of pragmatism over paralysis,” Lim said in a statement. “It reflects the government’s resolve to prioritize nation-building over red tape.”
The group said the law will benefit projects such as roads, railways, power systems, and digital infrastructure by providing clearer, more efficient, and fairer processes for acquiring land. Lim also noted that the measure would support the timely delivery of public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives, including airports, seaports, and industrial zones.
The FFCCCII urged the government to implement the law with transparency while ensuring protection of stakeholders’ rights. The group also expressed its support in helping drive economic growth through improved infrastructure.
“We pledge our full support in leveraging this milestone,” Lim said. “Let us seize this momentum to construct a Philippines where progress is no longer delayed—but delivered.”
