MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has summoned Precious Grace Transport to explain why its Certificate of Public Convenience should not be suspended or revoked after a viral video showed a person with disability (PWD) being assaulted aboard one of its buses.

The incident involved a bus operating along the EDSA Busway, with initial findings identifying the unit’s plate number as NDQ 2615. The bus driver was named as Mark Ivan Ramos and the conductor as Francis Sauro.

In response, the LTFRB issued a Show Cause Order and imposed a 30-day preventive suspension on 10 of the company’s units operating under the EDSA Bus Carousel.

LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III said the agency will not tolerate violence, discrimination, or abuse against PWDs and emphasized that public utility operators must uphold the safety and dignity of all passengers.

An independent investigation is ongoing to verify the authenticity of the video and gather testimonies, with the Department of Transportation coordinating efforts through the Philippine Coast Guard and other enforcement teams.

The LTFRB assured the public that sanctions will be imposed swiftly, reiterating the government’s commitment to protect vulnerable commuters and ensure inclusive public transportation.
