MANILA, Philippines— President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the modernization of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), vowing sustained investments in equipment, training, and facilities, while ensuring the welfare of its personnel.
Speaking during the 78th founding anniversary celebration of the PAF at Villamor Air Base, President Marcos honored the sacrifices of airmen and airwomen, recognizing their dedication in both combat missions and humanitarian efforts.
“The government will exert all efforts to provide the Philippine Air Force with the best possible equipment, training, and facilities,” he said.
Marcos underscored that a capable and modern air force can only be built through consistent government support.
“We remain relentless in ensuring that support will continue. Because we know that when our troops are equipped and cared for, they are empowered to fulfill their duties and serve the country with excellence,” he added.
Addressing PAF troops directly, the President assured them that the administration would match their loyalty and service with unwavering support.
“Habang umaasa ang taumbayan sa inyo, kayo naman ay may maaasahan sa Administrasyong ito. Bilang inyong Commander-in-Chief, titiyakin kong buo at tapat ang suporta at malasakit ko sa inyong lahat na Philippine Air Force,” Marcos declared.
The President also congratulated this year’s awardees, praising them for their outstanding performance and calling on the entire force to stay united in fulfilling their sworn duty.
“Let our resolve be focused and unshaken as we serve the Philippines and fly ever higher together,” he said.
