MANILA, Philippines — Joint operatives from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Customs (BOC), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated over P749 million worth of illegal drugs during an inspection at the Manila International Container Port (MICP) on July 7, 2025.

The operation is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

Authorities conducted a 100% physical examination of a cargo shipment consigned to XYZ Global Express at the MICP ICTSI warehouse. During the inspection, they discovered crystalline, rock-like substances suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu,” concealed and mixed with milk powder.

Further verification confirmed the substance as shabu. PDEA personnel documented a total of 106 packs weighing 110,240 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱749,632,000.

The seized items are now under PDEA custody for further investigation and appropriate legal action.
