MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced Saturday that it will begin printing field test ballots for the 2025 Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections on July 14.

Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said around 160 ballots will be printed at the National Printing Office (NPO) in Quezon City for use in this month’s field tests in the region.

“The printing will commence after the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the provision of printing services in relation to the 2025 BARMM Parliamentary Elections, which is scheduled on 14 July 2025, 2:00 P.M. at the Chairman’s Hall, Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila,” Garcia said in a statement.

He clarified that the test ballots will not contain the names of candidates or political parties, as they will be used exclusively for simulation and system testing.

“This field test aims to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and readiness of the electoral rules, procedures, and automated election systems to be deployed in BARMM, as part of the Commission’s preparatory activities for the upcoming BARMM Parliamentary Elections on 13 October 2025,” Garcia added.
