MANILA – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) reported that four national road sections remain closed to traffic as of 6:00 p.m. on July 20 due to the combined effects of Tropical Cyclone Crising and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon.

According to the latest situational report, three of the closures are in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and one in Region IX, attributed to high water elevation, road cuts, soil collapse, and landslides. These include:

  1. Apayao (Calanasan)-Ilocos Norte Road, K0633+535, Tanglagan, Calanasan, Apayao
  2. Claveria-Calanasan-Flora-Lasam Road, K0707+750 to K0707+765, Brgy. Ninoy, Calanasan, Apayao
  3. Kennon Road (S00393LZ), K0237+680, Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet
  4. Liloy-Siocon Road, K2032+120, Tubongon, Baliguian, Zamboanga del Norte

In addition, four road sections across Negros Island Region (NIR), Region III, and Region IV-A are partially passable due to flooding, road slips, and precautionary measures:

  1. Bigaa-Plaridel via Bulacan & Malolos Road, K0032+0000 to K0032+0100, Brgy. Panginay, Balagtas (Bigaa), Bulacan
  2. Amungan-Palauig-Banlog Road (S01157LZ), K0217+0403 to K0217+0423, Brgy. Bato, Palauig, Zambales, Bato Bridge
  3. Diokno Highway, K0087+020, landslide-prone section
  4. Hinigaran–Isabela Road (S00366NR), K0062+800 to K0062+950

The DPWH confirmed that all other national roads and bridges in the affected areas remain passable to all types of vehicles as of the latest report.
