
MANILA – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) successfully rescued three individuals from a capsized fishing banca (FBCA) near the waters of Pasandigan Cove in El Nido, Palawan over the weekend,
According to the PCG, a concerned citizen reported the distressed vessel to the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Palawan at around 4:50 p.m of Saturday.
By 5:00 p.m., the CGS Northern Palawan deployed its Quick Response Team (QRT) aboard MB Excalibur 0109 to conduct a search and rescue (SAR) operation.
All three passengers were safely rescued, highlighting the readiness and operational efficiency of CGS Northern Palawan in responding to maritime emergencies.
The PCG said the operation reflects its continued commitment to public service in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision of a “Bagong Pilipinas.”
