MANILA – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has suspended for 90 days the licenses of the JAC bus and SUV drivers involved in a fatal road crash in San Pablo, Laguna that left three people dead.
The LTO has also summoned the owners of both vehicles to explain why the registration of their units should not be suspended or revoked.
Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued a show cause order to the driver and operator of the JAC bus, asking them to explain why their franchise should not be suspended.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon reiterated the government’s warning to reckless drivers.
“We will not hesitate to revoke your licenses and franchises if you continue to neglect your responsibilities on the road and put the lives of our fellow citizens at risk,” said Dizon.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident and are expected to take further action to hold those involved accountable.
