MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) announced it will conduct an electronic public bidding (e-bidding) of 97 corporate and closed bank properties from August 27 to 28, 2025.

The bidding will be hosted through the PDIC’s e-bidding portal at https://assetsforsale.pdic.gov.ph, where interested buyers can submit bids starting 9:00 AM on August 27 until 1:00 PM on August 28. Bids will be opened on the same day at 2:00 PM.

Properties for sale on an “as-is, where-is” basis include 31 vacant residential lots, 25 residential lots with improvements, 24 vacant agricultural lots, five agricultural lots with improvements, five memorial lots, three mixed-use residential/agricultural lots with improvements, two vacant mixed-use residential/agricultural lots, and two commercial lots with improvements. Lot sizes range up to 11 hectares and are located in 20 provinces including Aklan, Batangas, Ilocos Sur, Laguna, Palawan, and Pampanga.

To participate, buyers must register once through the e-bidding portal or access it via the PDIC homepage at www.pdic.gov.ph. The portal also features the complete catalog of properties, requirements, and the e-bidding process.

PDIC reminded interested bidders to conduct due diligence on the properties and review the terms and conditions outlined on the site. Buyers of agricultural properties are required to submit a Certification from the Department of Agrarian Reform and an Affidavit of Aggregate Landholdings within 15 days after bidding to comply with legal landholding limits.

Participants bidding on behalf of others may download pro-forma documents such as a Special Power of Attorney and Secretary’s Certificate from the portal.

As the receiver of closed banks, PDIC sells these assets to recover funds and pay creditors, including depositors with uninsured funds. Proceeds from corporate asset sales are added to the Deposit Insurance Fund.
