MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to undertake a five-day State Visit to India from August 4 to 8, 2025, upon the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The visit will include official meetings and events in New Delhi, followed by a trip to Bangalore. President Marcos is also scheduled to meet with business leaders in both cities and engage with the Filipino community in New Delhi.
This marks the first State Visit to India by a Philippine president since Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s trip in 2007. The last Indian head of state to visit the Philippines was then President Ram Nath Kovind in 2019.
The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and India.
