MANILA — Authorities seized over P25 million worth of ketamine concealed in a courier package during a joint drug interdiction operation at the Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat City, Pampanga.

The operation was conducted last July 30 by the Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK-IADITG), composed of the National Bureau of Investigation – Pampanga District Office (NBI-PAMDO), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Customs (BOC), and Philippine National Police (PNP).

The team inspected a package declared as “Data Cable Roll” and discovered six transparent plastic bags containing ketamine. The drugs weighed a total of 5,062 grams and had an estimated street value of around P25,310,000.

The BOC collected samples for confirmatory testing by the PDEA. The ketamine was marked and weighed as part of standard procedure.

NBI Director Santiago commended the NBI-PAMDO and other members of the task force for the successful interdiction effort.
