MANILA – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) announced that National ID holders can avail of free rides on the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) on the remaining Wednesdays of August.

The free rides will be given to passengers who present their National ID—whether card, paper, or digital format—from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 13, 20, and 27.

The PSA reminded the public that the National ID, regardless of format, is a valid proof of identification for transactions with both government and private institutions.

Free rides for National ID holders on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) also remain available on the same dates and time slots.

The PSA encouraged all National ID holders to take advantage of the free service.
