SAN VICENTE, Palawan — Philippine Marines, alongside U.S. Marines, carried out an airfield seizure operation as part of Exercise ALON 2025, showcasing the combined force’s capability to rapidly project power from sea to shore.
The high-intensity drill, a core element of amphibious operations, done last August 24, highlighted the seamless integration of Philippine and U.S. troops in securing strategic objectives ashore.
The airfield seizure is among the key events of Exercise ALON 2025, a bilateral training between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Australian Defence Force, with support from Marine Rotational Force–Darwin 25.3 and the Royal Canadian Navy.
Military officials said the exercise underscores interoperability, readiness, and collective resolve to confront evolving security challenges in the Indo-Pacific.
