MANILA — The Bureau of Customs (BOC) carried out a court-ordered search operation on September 2 at the Pasig City headquarters of St. Gerrard General Contractor and Development Corp. in connection with the alleged smuggling of luxury vehicles linked to the Discaya family.

The operation, authorized by a Search Warrant from the Regional Trial Court of Manila, Branch 18, was conducted following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to tighten enforcement against smuggling and ensure transparency in government initiatives.

Led by Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service–Port of Manila Field Station Chief Joel Pinawin, the search team found two high-end vehicles out of the 12 covered by the warrant: a Toyota Land Cruiser 300 and a Maserati Levante Modena 2022.

The team also discovered two other luxury vehicles not included in the warrant—a Jaguar F-Pace and a bulletproof Cadillac Escalade—which will be subject to further investigation.

The warrant, issued by Executive Judge Carolina Icasiano-Sison, was served in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, Highway Patrol Group led by Acting Director Col. Hansel Marantan, Land Transportation Office, Department of Transportation, and barangay officials of Bambang, Pasig City.

Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno vowed to locate all missing vehicles tied to the Discaya family.

“We will ensure that these vehicles are located without delay, and if discrepancies are uncovered, all taxes and duties will be collected in full. Let it be clear: those hiding or abetting the concealment of these cars will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The Bureau is committed to decisive action to protect government revenues, enforce accountability, and uphold the trust of the Filipino people,” Nepomuceno said.
