MANILA – Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation–Intellectual Property Rights Division (NBI-IPRD) confiscated counterfeit Louis Vuitton products worth nearly P35 million in separate operations in Meycauayan and Malolos, Bulacan.

The raids, carried out on September 8 by virtue of search warrants, targeted SPONKYBOY in Meycauayan and ATTRACTIONS in Malolos after a complaint was filed by Louis Vuitton representative Mayank Vaid.

Authorities seized 391 fake “Louis Vuitton” or “LV” items with an estimated value of P34,979,052.

NBI Director Jaime B. Santiago commended the IPRD for the successful operation, saying the bureau remains committed to curbing the proliferation of counterfeit goods.

The NBI also urged the public to avoid buying fake products, stressing that protecting intellectual property rights supports legitimate businesses and contributes to economic growth.
