MANILA – Operatives of the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) have arrested an Australian national in Makati City for allegedly using multiple fake identities and overstaying in the country.
The BI identified the foreigner as Dayle Marc George Campbell, 33, who was arrested along Pertierra Street, Poblacion, Makati, during an operation conducted from the evening of September 15 to the early morning of September 16, in coordination with the Makati City Police Station–Intelligence Section.
Authorities said Campbell also went by the aliases Dion Munro and Daniel John, and had claimed citizenship in both Seychelles and Australia. A complaint filed with the BI reported that he had been using fraudulent immigration documents and sought his deportation.
The complainant also alleged that Campbell was involved in drug-related activities and had a history of abusive behavior.
According to information from the Australian Embassy, Campbell had previously been reported for violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, in a 2021 incident involving his live-in partner. He was also said to have possessed unlicensed firearms.
BI records showed that Campbell entered the Philippines on February 22, 2020, using his Australian passport, after earlier leaving with a Seychelles passport. He was admitted as a temporary visitor but failed to secure a visa extension, making him an overstaying alien.
The United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) also confirmed that Campbell is under investigation for suspected money laundering and narcotics trafficking. He is reportedly linked to an outlaw motorcycle gang and was found using fraudulent U.S. driver’s licenses under his aliases.
Campbell remains in BI custody while facing deportation proceedings.
