MANILA — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Monday announced the opening of 435 job opportunities for Filipinos in Croatia under a government-to-government (G2G) hiring arrangement, expanding safe overseas employment options in Europe.
DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac said the initiative is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to provide dignified and secure employment for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
“This is a direct result of the President’s directive to open dignified and safe opportunities for Filipinos abroad. Ang mahalaga dito, malinaw ang kasunduan at parehong gobyerno ang nagbabantay. That means may proteksiyon, may suporta, at siguradong may respeto sa ating mga manggagawa,” Cacdac said.
The job openings are in the hospitality and food service sectors: 255 room attendants, 110 waiters, and 70 cooks.
Applicants must be Filipino citizens at least 18 years old, with a minimum of 10 years of education (secondary level). A TESDA NC II certification in the relevant field is required, as well as English proficiency. Work experience is not mandatory.
Candidates must also present a valid NBI clearance, a PSA-issued birth certificate, and a passport with at least one year of validity.
Salaries will range from €976.99 to €1,079.24 (around ₱62,500 to ₱69,000) gross monthly, depending on the position.
Interested applicants must register online via the DMW portal (https://portal.dmw.gov.ph), book an appointment, and personally submit their documents to the DMW Central Office in Ortigas or any regional office. Courier submissions will not be accepted. Only those with complete documents will be processed.
The deadline for submission is September 24, while interviews for pre-qualified applicants are scheduled for October 15 in Mandaluyong City. The list of qualified candidates will be posted by the DMW.
The agency also reminded the public to remain vigilant against illegal recruiters.
