MANILA– Operatives of the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) have arrested an American man for alleged involvement in the production and distribution of child exploitation materials.

The suspect, identified as Robin Hoyt Alderman, 66, was apprehended on September 16 at Barangay 186, Tala, Caloocan City. The BI said Alderman was tagged as an undesirable alien following information from the Philippine National Police Women and Child Protection Center (WCPC) linking him to sexual activities with minors as well as the possession, production, and distribution of child sexual abuse and exploitation materials (CSAEM).

The arrest was carried out under the BI’s #Shieldkids campaign, which aims to protect vulnerable sectors from exploitation by foreign nationals, in line with the President’s directive to intensify efforts against CSAEM.

During the operation, agents also encountered a Nigerian national, Boedubamo Immotimi Philip, 38, who was found to have an active derogatory record for indigency.

Both Alderman and Philip were booked and turned over to the BI Warden’s Facility pending resolution of their immigration cases.

The BI said it will continue its firm stance against foreign nationals involved in CSAEM.
