MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared special non-working holidays in five localities this November to allow residents to take part in their respective founding anniversaries and local festivities.
Under five separate proclamations, the President designated:
- November 20 as a special non-working holiday in Dupax del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya, for the municipality’s founding anniversary (Proclamation No. 1064);
- November 22 in Itogon, Benguet, for the municipality’s 125th founding anniversary (Proclamation No. 1065);
- November 26 in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, for the city’s founding anniversary (Proclamation No. 1066);
- November 27 in Burgos, La Union, for the municipality’s 100th founding anniversary (Proclamation No. 1067); and
- November 20 in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, for the annual festival of thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest (Proclamation No. 1068).
According to the proclamations, declaring the dates as special non-working holidays is “fitting and proper” to give residents the full opportunity to participate in the events and enjoy the celebrations.
Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin signed the proclamations by the authority of President Marcos.
