MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launch of the One RFID, All Tollways system, allowing motorists to use a single RFID sticker across all toll expressways in Luzon for greater convenience and efficiency.
During the ceremony held along the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) in Calamba City, Laguna, President Marcos said the initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to modernize toll collection and make travel across Luzon faster and more convenient.
“Hangad natin ang dire-diretsong biyahe mula hilaga hanggang timog dito sa Luzon. Reduce unnecessary stress. Reduce unnecessary delays,” Marcos said.
He emphasized that the reform aims to create a more modern, connected, and responsive infrastructure system. “Ang repormang ito sa RFID system ay bahagi ng mas malawak nating layunin na gawing mas moderno, konektado, at nakatuon sa pangangailangan ng bawat Pilipino ang ating imprastraktura,” he added.
Under the new system, motorists can now use a single RFID sticker when passing through the following tollways: Skyway, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), STAR Tollway, Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX), Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway (NAIAx), Muntinlupa–Cavite Expressway (MCX), North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX), and C5 Southlink.
Previously, motorists were required to use two separate RFID systems—Autosweep for tollways such as Skyway and TPLEX, and Easytrip for NLEX and SCTEX—causing inconvenience when reloading or paying across different expressways.
“Nakikinig tayo sa hinaing ng ating mga kababayan. Kaya naman pinag-aralan natin ang problema, at nakahanap tayo ng magandang solusyon. Simula ngayon, iisang RFID sticker na lang ang kailangan para sa mga toll expressways natin sa buong Luzon,” the President said.
Marcos also clarified that registration for the One RFID, All Tollways system is free and optional, allowing motorists to choose whether to adopt the unified system or continue using the existing two-card setup.
“Kung ninanais ninyo nang mas simple (at) pinagsamang account, puwedeng-puwede na. Ginawa nating madali, abot-kamay, at hassle-free ang buong proseso. Pwede nang magparehistro online o walk-in,” he said.
The group or fleet account option for the unified RFID system is expected to be launched next year.
The President credited the success of the interoperability project to the continued trust, flexibility, and cooperation of government partners, concessionaires, and electronic toll collection providers.
Marcos also expressed his gratitude to San Miguel Corporation and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, led by business tycoons Ramon S. Ang and Manuel V. Pangilinan, respectively, “for being part of the solution.”
