MANILA — More than 127,000 passengers were recorded in ports nationwide on All Souls’ Day, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported Sunday as part of its monitoring under Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Undas 2025.
From 12 noon to 6 p.m. on November 2, the PCG recorded 69,507 outbound passengers and 58,079 inbound passengers across all ports in the country.
To maintain safe and efficient travel during the Undas rush, the PCG deployed 5,457 frontline personnel from its 16 districts, who conducted inspections on 548 vessels and 757 motorbancas.
The agency said all PCG districts, stations, and sub-stations remain on heightened alert from October 30 to November 4, 2025, in anticipation of the continued increase in passenger traffic.
For inquiries, concerns, or clarifications on sea travel protocols and regulations, the public may reach out to the PCG through its official Facebook page or contact the Coast Guard Public Affairs Service (CGPAS) at 0927-560-7729.
