MANILA — Television host and actress Kris Aquino appears ready to move back to her home province of Tarlac with her sons, Josh and Bimby, as she continues her treatment and isolation while battling multiple autoimmune diseases.

In a November 1 Instagram post, Kris reflected on her memories of Tarlac following the passing of her mother, former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino. She also shared details about her upcoming transfer, saying, “I need my wheelchair, no sun exposure, I bathe seated, yet my checklist on November 13 will have all I need. If you see someone in a colorful mask, an orange wheelchair, shopping for groceries and toilet paper — that’s me, hindi ako snob — my nurse will have ethyl alcohol and a yellow mask if you want a picture.”

The post ended with a heartfelt message addressed to her late brother, former president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. “Noy, your beloved room gets the least light, in heaven hindi pikon ‘di ba? The two boys and I will sleep there. Your face and your ‘behave Kristina, Joshy, BIMB!’ We miss you,” she wrote.

On November 5, Kris shared another update describing how she and her sons were “learning to be a nuclear family,” making it a habit to have dinner together and avoid using gadgets except to play music. She also mentioned that she writes down and templates lyrics to help her remember songs — “A sad reminder of aging but a beautiful acceptance that we should always be eager to learn.”

Kris revealed that she had disappointed one of her doctors by refusing a new medication meant to ease pain from fibromyalgia or chronic body pain. She also recalled a touching exchange with her eldest son, Josh, when she told him that her mother’s home in Tarlac would now be theirs. “No, that’s LOLA HOUSE,” Josh initially protested, but Kris reassured him, saying Cory had wanted him to have it.

“A smile that started in his eyes, made his dimple appear, and a smile for Lola that was full of love and gratitude,” she added. “The bone pain is awful because of the weather. But this is now part of my life and it hasn’t broken my spirit yet.”

Kris also joked that she has become a true “probinsyana,” using her signature phrase “love, love, love” as a hashtag.

She ended her post with humor, asking an e-commerce company to verify her account so she could buy a walk-in bathtub.

Recently, Kris was seen in public attending the 61st birthday celebration of Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap.
