MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the release of ₱1.307 trillion in programmed funds for the fourth quarter of the year to support disaster relief, recovery, and rehabilitation efforts in communities affected by recent calamities, Malacañang announced.

Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the directive underscores the President’s commitment to ensuring that government resources are efficiently mobilized to help Filipinos rebuild their lives.

Castro added that the President also instructed all government agencies to use the funds with transparency and efficiency to stimulate economic growth and ensure that every peso contributes to the nation’s recovery and development.

Citing data from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Castro said a significant portion of the budget will go to social services to ensure that all Filipinos benefit from government spending.

She added that proper government expenditure—particularly in infrastructure, health, education, and direct subsidies—drives economic growth by boosting both consumption and investment.

Castro reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life of Filipinos and sustaining economic progress under the vision of a Bagong Pilipinas.
