MANILA — The Department of Health (DOH) held a command conference with representatives from various regions to ensure continuous monitoring, assessment, and response in areas affected by Typhoon Tino and those currently in the path of Typhoon Uwan.
The DOH remains under Code Blue alert, placing the department on high-level emergency response. Health Emergency Response Teams (HERTs) have been deployed, and the Hospital Emergency Incident Command System is fully activated.
Health commodities needed in evacuation centers have already been distributed to local government units.
Health Secretary Ted Herbosa advised that proper rotation of health workers in the provinces should be maintained, as they are also affected by the typhoon.
