MANILA — Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin denied speculation that he is set to resign or be replaced amid circulating reports of a supposed shake-up in Malacañang.
“Not true until it actually happens. I don’t know how the speculation started,” Bersamin told reporters when asked about the rumors.
Bersamin, who oversees the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President, has been the subject of resignation talks following issues raised over illegal infrastructure and flood-control projects.
He said he remains focused on fulfilling his responsibilities as Executive Secretary.
Malacañang has yet to release an official statement addressing the speculation. (PNA)
